Albowiem taką kamizelkę powinien założyć na siebie kierowca lub osoba, która będzie dokonywała naprawy lub zabezpieczała pojazd do czasu przyjazdu pomocy drogowej.
Kamizelka odblaskowa może uratować życie, gdyż sprawia, że osoba, która założy ją na siebie jest dużo bardziej widoczna dla innych użytkowników drogi już z dalszej odległości. Wymienione wyżej środki ostrożności to niezbędne i konieczne sposoby zapewnienia sobie bezpieczeństwa na ulicy w razie awarii samochodu.
